Description

https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1105302 is fixed and we might not need workaround anymore.

But as we apply it unconditionally, we cannot see if it appears anywhere.

Suggestion

Trigger 100 runs for some not INSTALLONLY scenario on ARM without workaround and check if any soft-lockups appear.

I found one in https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/973642#step/system_workarounds/7

So I will create a PR to revert my previous PR as the workaround still seems to be required.

The workaround is still needed.

Does it make sense to keep a workaround for a fixed bug and not have a follow-up ticket?

  • Priority changed from High to Urgent

Even if the bug was fixed, there are other programs raising soft lockup: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/982218#step/system_workarounds/7
So, the workaround cannot be removed? Or should we remove it to catch other bugs?
