Acceptance criteria

  • AC1: We have specific test scenario which tests basic functionality of the packages in Microsoft Azure pattern of PCM
  • AC2: No cloud infrastructure is accessed

Suggestions

  • Resolve #38867 and extend test suite to test some of the packages from Microsoft Azure pattern, as it's considered as one with highest business value
  • Create ticket for other 2 patterns, if requested by stakeholders
  • Validate patterns
  • Come up with some simple tests to run packages from the pattern (e.g. --help)

It looks interesting although we would need more info to work here, it is quite unclear how to connect our initial work selecting packages with deployment, to have better questions to ask @cfconrad.

I could also collect this info: ipa and where python tests are stored, in this case we can find them in ./usr/share/lib/ipa/tests/SLES/ contained in rpm python3-ipa-tests

There is a bug in sle 15

https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/pull/5659 fixes an issue with SLE 15 SP1, as aws pattern was wrongly selected there, on top it caused conflict.
