[qac][JeOS] Test upgrade from previous released JeOS to current openQA snapshot
Added by ggardet_arm about 5 years ago.
Updated 30 days ago.
Description
As it is done for Tumbleweed NET install with zdup_tw2twnext_gnome
, we should test updates from current release to current snapshot. It could be named zdup_tw2twnext_jeos
.
Hopefully, it should catch errors, such as reported on opensuse-arm mailing list: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-arm/2019-09/msg00026.html
- Assignee set to ggardet_arm
- Status changed from New to In Progress
- Blocked by action #57617: [qac][jeos] test incompletes trying to download openSUSE-Tumbleweed-JeOS.x86_64.qcow2 (was: HDD_1_URL not honored) added
Currently this fails because HDD_1 is cached, which means it's now using an ancient JeOS image.
I see. So the problem is rather that an asset with exactly the same name or URL is not re-downloaded.
- Status changed from In Progress to Workable
- Assignee deleted (
ggardet_arm)
Still fails in openQA, no idea why.
- Subject changed from [JeOS] Test upgrade from previous released JeOS to current openQA snapshot to [qac][JeOS] Test upgrade from previous released JeOS to current openQA snapshot
- Status changed from Workable to New
- Project changed from openQA Tests to 208
- Category deleted (
New test)
- Status changed from New to Closed
Tests in O3: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1837063
For SLE, we are already testing Updates, where we do a system update and install non-released updates to be verified. We consider this as done.
Maybe what we could do is to try to migrate from Leap to SLE (close the gap topic).
- Tags changed from qac, jeos to MinimalVM
- Project changed from 208 to Containers and images
