action #34342
closed[functional][u][medium][sporadic] test fails in suseconnect_scc - Extra console output makes asserts fail
0%
Description
Observation¶
Sporadic failure because of extra output on console make some test module fails.
This is an example:
Acceptance Criteria¶
- AC1: Test works as expected (might already be the case with the script_output changes live)
Suggestions¶
We have bugs about kernel messages disrupting console screen, see #19398 and https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1011815#c34
Hence we need to verify if message is ok and potentially apply soft-failure with bug reference above.
Expected result¶
Last good: 538.1
Further details¶
Always latest result in this scenario: latest

try to clone job failed:
http://e13.suse.de/tests/7858 from https://openqa.suse.de/tests/2012566
No idea why this is not working, arrch64 remote worker is okay in general.

As a workaround the asset "SLES-15-SP1-aarch64-25.3@aarch64-unregistered-uefi-vars.qcow2" can be directly downloaded to the /var/lib/openqa/share/factory/hdd on the webUI (e13 if I remember correctly) and it should work afterwards.
I don't think the related ticket is blocking this one.

setup issue with remote worker resolved now.
I can see this problem somehow sporadic. More tests are ongoing...

this is reported long time ago: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1011815
I don't see a chance to workaround this issue for now.

https://openqa.suse.de/tests/2083050 and past 10 jobs are green. Pretty sure that the changes in script_output
as well as masking getty services fixed it.
