Description
motivation¶
The awesome window manager is included in openSUSE - even has a custom openSUSE branding - but broke recently and is not properly tested. Should be added to openqa tests.
acceptance criteria¶
- awesome window manager can start (default session with autologin OR after selection in DM)
- awesome menu shows "freedesktop menu entries"

As we have some discussion in https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/pull/930 about e.g. the DESKTOP variable and the tests of different window manager, not complete desktop environments, e.g. "icewm, awesome, i3, twm, …": What do you think, should we:
- option 1: keep on doing where we started with https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/pull/930 and set DESKTOP to the window manager and resemble "minimalx" in most cases
- option 2: add another variable "WINDOW_MANAGER" which is kind of all variants of "DESKTOP=minimalx"
- option 3: just test all window manager serially under "minimalx" configuration, e.g. after all other tests finished and back to icewm idling, install awesome, restart display manager, log into awesome, do awesome tests, install i3, …"
