Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-autoyast_y2_firstboot@64bit fails in
setup_libyui
This looks a lot like performance issues, possibly not waiting long enough.
Today, I have seen quite a lot of those, sometimes a retry made it pass.Would appreciate if this could be investigated and the tet be made stable again
Test suite description¶
Smoke test for YaST2 Firstboot module, basically same as yast2_firstboot test suite. Test pre-defined autoyast profile, which enables YaST2 Firstboot during system deployment. SUT should boot to YaST2 Firstboot wizard after reboot. Test goes through all Firstboot tabs, configure root and user accounts. SUT should end up in GDM screen after exiting YaST2 Firstboot.
Reproducible¶
Fails since (at least) Build 20210419
Expected result¶
Last good: 20210418 (or more recent)
Further details¶
Always latest result in this scenario: latest
Ideas:¶
- It is Autoyast test and setup_libyui module do not needed for installation. It needed for firstboot. So, it can be moved to be running after the installation is performed;
- If the module is needed during installation, then consider updating the missing needle.

Sample of why I don't think it's a product issue to start with:
In Snapshot 0420, this test failed: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1708493
As usual, it generated investigation jobs:
Simple retry: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1708610 [passed]
Same product, old test code: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1708611 [passed]
previous product (used to pass), new test code: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/1708612 [failed]

Seems that the test fails because select_console "installation" doesn't recognize the particular needle as "installation".
