[opensuse] transactional_server test suite does not update repos and thus uses released tumbleweed repos
Added by ggardet_arm almost 5 years ago.
Updated almost 5 years ago.
Category:
Bugs in existing tests
Description
Observation¶
transactionnal_server
test suite should clear repos and add openQA repos instead, as done in other tests.
This makes rebootmgr
test fail https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/965004/modules/rebootmgr/steps/94 since the old, unfixed, etcd
package is installed.
Reproducible¶
- Fails since Build 20190508 in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-aarch64-transactional_server@aarch64
- Recent fail: Build20190701
Expected result¶
Last good from Tumbleweed for x86_64: Build20190701
Further details¶
Always latest result in this scenario: latest

I don't see the relation between the failure and the repos.
Jun 21 06:59:49 linux-6mpg etcd[2023]: etcd on unsupported platform without ETCD_UNSUPPORTED_ARCH=arm64 set.
Do you mean that the fix for that is on the development repo?

The fix is in 'totest' repo, but not yet in released repo. Anyway, we currently install software from released repo instead of repo being tested, but the purpose of openQA is to test unrelease software, no?

Ok, so that's the relation.

Yes, the ticket would be valid anyway. But, in case the fail was not related, I would have filed another ticket to address it and leave this to fix the repo.
