Observation¶
openQA test in scenario sle-12-SP4-Server-DVD-aarch64-allmodules+allpatterns@aarch64 fails in
select_patterns_and_packages
Motivation¶
To avoid manually retyping pop error messages as it is in below mentioned bug, we would like to upload related information to openqa directly so it eases our effort to report bugs properly.

Information is already scattered around /var/log/YaST/y2log plain text file. All we need to do is to parse this log and fetch information regarding patterns/packages.

So far the code was successfully tested outside of openQA, where I have encountered a problem with the schedule. It will be fixed in next sprint due mine education and unavailability at the end of current sprint.

@mloviska, we have a review to decide what to do with the ticket which we were not able to deliver during the sprint. So I move it back. Could you please just paste current status, maybe point to your feature branch where you have code changes, so someone else potentially could pick it up and deliver. Will it work for you?

IMHO it can be way easier using the existing method "investigate_yast2_failure". I wrote an idea in the PR. I guess we can handle this easily but I understood you might not be available in the following days and therefore unassigned? So whoever picks up this ticket please see the existing PR and my comment https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/pull/5326#issuecomment-401533063 . It might be easier for another person to just create a new PR with the proposed one-line-change
