Updated about 5 years ago.
Category:
Bugs in existing tests
Target version:
SUSE QA - Milestone 23
Description
Observation¶
Another consequence of script_output problem. Here we will try to work this problem around
Acceptance criteria¶
AC1: try to apply some hack to parse or get checksum
AC2: if not possible, add soft-failure when output doesn't match checksum mask
openQA test in scenario sle-15-Installer-DVD-ppc64le-extra_tests_filesystem_ppc@ppc64le fails in
btrfs_send_receive
Reproducible¶
Fails since (at least) Build 303.1 (current job)
Expected result¶
Checksums should match and test continue
Last good: 302.1 (or more recent)
Further details¶
Always latest result in this scenario: latest (old: latest)

https://openqa.suse.de/tests/1496494#step/btrfs_send_receive/48 is the latest example still failing. Don't know what we can do here rather than wait for #30613 which is also not really progressing. I guess the best choice right now that we have is to go for virtio_terminals in all cases or live with a workaround which is improving the regexes used in test code to not be confused by different serial port output.
