[opensuse][kubic]openSUSE Kubic needs to be setup for testing
Added by dimstar over 7 years ago.
Updated about 4 years ago.
Description
As part of the openSUSE:Factory build process, we now also produce a openSUSE-Kubic media. This needs to be added to openQA and then the caasp test suite be run against it.
The final aim is to know that Kubic works when releasing a new TW snapshot - or at least be aware when it does not
@mkravec you should be interested in this :-)
Last time I tried there wasn't working infrastructure for multimachine tests on opensuse. Deployment test requires 4+ tap workers.
I would be happy to help if there is HW setup for it.
We should at least get the 'MicroOS' part going - which is only single machine based tests. In any case, there are currently no containers available yet that would benefit from the multi machine setup.
Thus, having at least the generic Kubic installer tested is already worth more than what we have now
- Status changed from New to In Progress
- Subject changed from openSUSE Kubic needs to be setup for testing to [opensuse][kubic]openSUSE Kubic needs to be setup for testing

It's needed to update rsync.pl (images are already synced along with TW)

Unassigning myself because I don't have permissions on openqa.opensuse.org to test rsync.pl
I'm not quite sure I understand. Currently there are no Kubic media on o3 so what do you mean when you say "images are already synced along with TW"? I guess we still need changes to rsync.pl and probably also a trigger wrapper script within https://gitlab.suse.de/openqa/scripts . I can test it on o3 but could you prepare a MR for the scripts changes as a first part?
- Assignee changed from okurz to RBrownSUSE
Assigning ticket to me in advance of it actually being part of my job from 1st Sept
Thanks for the head start, comments on the MR for rsync.pl
- Status changed from In Progress to Resolved
