Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario opensuse-15.6-DVD-Updates-x86_64-openqa_bootstrap@64bit fails in
openqa_bootstrap
Test suite description¶
Maintainer: dheidler. Install openQA using openqa-bootstrap script.
Reproducible¶
Fails since (at least) Build 20250403-5
Expected result¶
Last good: 20250403-4 (or more recent)
Further details¶
Always latest result in this scenario: latest
Suggestions¶
- The latestet version of openqa-bootstrap was already updated to use the correct config files/folders
- Submit a new version of openQA to Leap
- Download the script before using it e.g. maybe backporting changes to Leap isn't what we want

- Priority changed from Normal to High
- Target version set to Ready
Putting High and Ready as this is currently failing openQa in openQA tests. Mitigating this by skipping these for now is an option, though.

There is already https://build.opensuse.org/requests/1271581 open. Wouldn't that fix it?

I believe that it will.
How did you do that?

No. I suggest you try to find out why https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4992727#step/openqa_bootstrap/10 install openQA-bootstrap-4.6 but then https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4992727#step/openqa_bootstrap/12 shows openQA-5 installed

No. I suggest you try to find out why https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4992727#step/openqa_bootstrap/10 install openQA-bootstrap-4.6 but then https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4992727#step/openqa_bootstrap/12 shows openQA-5 installed
At the beginning I was suspecting that the culprit was one of my own changes in submission. I might not fully get the packaging but I would say that this has nothing to do with the underline issue.
I checked the older jobs and the changelog where I pumped into Handle special releases in openqa-boostrap (like "Leap 15.6 Beta").
I then check the SUT and I show two repos
- devel:openqa
- devel:openQA:Leap:15.6
Once I disable the devel:openQA:Leap:15.6
the correct openqa-bootstrap version is installed

Ok. So I forgot that we always add devel:openQA. Well, in that case we really need the fixed openQA-bootstrap submitted to Leap so, yes, let's block on https://build.opensuse.org/requests/1271581

seems that we have successful tests https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4992727#next_previous. I will resolve it and close the PR created as a workaround
