Description

Hi,

I am the main developer for DNS-OARC [1] and I would like to officially
use openSUSE Build Services to create RPMs for our software [2] in the
same way we do for Debian and Ubuntu [3].

Is it possible to get a top level project called "DNS-OARC" for that as
a "team" project?

I currently have an account with the username "jelu" (email
lundstrom.jerry@gmail.com).

Cheers,
Jerry

Sorry, I missed this. However, Markus is managing our project organisation by default. So, I did a reassign now.

We don't hand out top level projects by default anymore, but what about a project below the network: namespace?

OK, sure please create:

  • network:dsc
  • network:dnscap

And add jelu as admin (I know I am oarc-jelu now but it just because the issue system was bound to the email so I had to make another account).

Thanks!

Seeing that this can take a long while maybe it is not the right approach?

It is ... you just got stuck in the "will be done after the deadline of this project" queue. hopefully i will get to it today.

network:dns-oarc done

Uhm, that would be a bit misleading since dns-oarc is not a software but a non-profit org and from what I can see it's network: (that's why I originally asked for dns-oarc:).

A month ago I suggested:

  • network:dsc
  • network:dnscap

But seeing that it takes quite a while to create these subprojects maybe I am just better of creating a user account called dns-oarc ?
Or is that against some rule within these Novel/SUSE websites?

i did this on purpose ... our normal project for everything dns related is server:dns.

But given you wanted an umbrella project for all the packages from dns-oarc i went with network:dns-oarc.
under network:dns-oarc you can create packages for all the software your organization provides.

network:dns-oarc/dnscap
network:dns-oarc/dsc

and so on. does that help?

Ah okey, did not know about server:dns and network: was really Adrian's suggestion.

I am all for keeping it the same way as other projects so if you want to keep it under server:dns then by all means create dsc/dnscap under that and remove network:dns-oarc.
