First step is to find out what caused/sent the bounced mail (which unfortunately isn't visible in the ticket).
Per, do you have a copy of the original mail somewhere on lists.o.o? If so, can you please check which service sent the bounce?

It's not necessarily from the list server, but I'll see if I can find anything. it is really annoying that Mimecast does not bounce the full email.

mailman3: nothing sent to idonmez in June.
anna: 10 mails attempted. Only one on 3 June. It is redmine sending, maybe an update to a ticket? which ticket was updated on 3 June, 10:44 UTC ? Looks like #89029

My mention of lists.o.o was more with the detail that admin@ is technically a ML ;-)
I'm also not sure if this is really is a problem with Mimecast, or if the bounced mail is attached and the attachment gets ignored/dropped by the script that feeds the mail into progress.o.o tickets.
(As an idea - maybe subscribe another mail address to admin@ which archives the mails somewhere[tm] so we can look up the original incoming mail if a ticket looks strange and/or useless. If needed, I can provide a @cboltz.de address for that.)

- Status changed from New to Resolved
- % Done changed from 20 to 100
I'm closing this. The problem is in the SUSE mail setup - the mimecast service simply accepts everything at first, but when a mail is attempted delivered to Microsoft 365, and it is refused, we get a late NDR. It is also addressed to the wrong address, for some reason it is bounced to admin@o.o instead of the list bounce address.
Interestingly, I have not seen many of these lately, maybe something was updated in the SUSE setup.
