Description

Hello,

Apparently, xnull@opensuse.org email redirection stopped working somewhere
around 22nd of April

Could you please look into this? I heavily rely on this email address.

It used to redirect to xnull@opensuse.us.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Yury Tsarev.

Hello Yury,

your alias is still in place, mails to 'xnull@opensuse.org' are aliased to 'xnull@opensuse.us'.
However, we are unable to send you anything:

delivery temporarily suspended: lost connection with opensuse.us[34.98.99.30] while receiving the initial server greeting)

Hello,

Thank you so much for prompt response! I'm not sure what happened with
opensuse.us. Can you please alias it with xnullz@gmail.com instead?

Yury

You have to do that yourself, in your profile, iirc.

Not really - the change for the @opensuse.org alias needs to be done by an admin.

However, I'd like to ask for a proof that https://connect.opensuse.org/pg/profile/xnull/ really belongs to you and the xnullz@gmail.com mail address. Can you please put that mail address somewhere on the connect page, for example into the "contact email" field? (Feel free to set that field to "private" if you don't want to have it public.)

In my profile in which service?

Thanks, Yury

Aha, okay.

Looks like I didn't migrate my account and can't recover the password as
suggested at https://idp-portal-info.suse.com/

And the account is linked to xnull@opensuse.org which is not working so it
is kind of chicken-egg. Is it possible to prove my identity another way?

Sorry for the trouble,
Yury

So I cannot get to opensuse connect page and I really need this email
working

If I put xnullz@gmail.com at the user readme info https://github.com/ytsarev

  • will it work for identity?

You can also notice that there are a bunch of commits with
xnull@opensuse.org authorship at repositories I work with.
Also, I am member of https://github.com/openSUSE.

Will be happy to jump on Zoom call if required.

Please help ASAP.

Thanks,
Yury

I know Yuri personally. He contacted me via LinkedIn to verify his identity.
I reach out to him via yet another communication channel to verify it is him requesting this.
Based on this I can assure it is "our" Yuri or ALL his accounts has been taken over by the same person.

Guys, is it possible we can fix it today?

Thanks,
Yury

I just updated your alias target to xnullz@gmail.com, the change will become active in the next hours.

Looks like I didn't migrate my account and can't recover the password as suggested at https://idp-portal-info.suse.com/

And the account is linked to xnull@opensuse.org which is not working so it is kind of chicken-egg.

With the updated alias, there are at least chances that you can recover your account. Please keep us updated if you had success ;-)
