closed[qe-core][opensuse] openSUSE zdup migration tests boot from ISO first instead of relying on repos only
100%
Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario opensuse-15.3-NET-x86_64-zdup-Leap-15.1-kde@64bit in
setup_zdup
shows that the openSUSE Leap 15.3 ISO medium is used in the system first, then "Boot from HDD" is used. This is making the test look more complicated, take longer and does not do what users do. Users would not put a new DVD into the system when they would want to upgrade from online repos anyway.
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: zdup migration cases do not have access to the ISO
Suggestions¶
- Add the setting
+ISO=
to the relevant test suites - Check that the test still works as expected
- Make sure that the test does not expect the ISO bootmenu at all anymore

Testing zdup for DVD flavor and removed ISO var here: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/overview?build=mgrifalconi-poo89707-1
Same for NET flavor: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/overview?build=mgrifalconi-poo89707-2
Same runs, but with ISO variable not removed for DVD: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/overview?build=mgrifalconi-poo89707-1-iso
And for NET: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/overview?build=mgrifalconi-poo89707-2-iso
Looks like failures are all unrelated to the variable removal so I will proceed by changing the following test suites:
zdup-Leap-15.0-gnome
zdup-Leap-15.0-kde
zdup-Leap-15.1-gnome
zdup-Leap-15.1-kde
zdup-Leap-15.2-gnome
zdup-Leap-15.2-kde

Added to the test suites mentioned.
Validation runs with and without the variable did not show boot related problem caused by this change.
