closedcoordination #54617: [functional][y][pvm][epic] Enable more scenarios to run on powerVM Backend
[functional][y] Enable RAID scenarios on powerVM
0%
Description
Motivation¶
As per https://confluence.suse.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=340623739
Matthias has supported us and have introduced new worker class for powerVM which have 4 logical volumes attached (see https://gitlab.suse.de/openqa/salt-pillars-openqa/merge_requests/218).
Worker class will be hmc_ppc64le-4disk
We still investigate if this might break any of existing scenarios, because SUT will have 4 disks attached when only 1 is expected.
Acceptance criteria¶
- RAID tests are executed on powerVM backend with validation modules
- RAID tests are scheduled only when corresponding test suites succeed on power KVM

so I have added 4 disks to redcurrant-1 and redcurrant-2
- one PR to enable the workers: https://gitlab.suse.de/openqa/salt-pillars-openqa/merge_requests/218
- PR for formatting all disks https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/pull/9449

We got a change in the flow during partitioning. Without much efforts (new schedule and test data structure) I was able to get same results as we have for qemu run on ppc64le.

So this scenario cannot work as of now due to: https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1164295
I will create WIP PR with required changes, so we could enable it once bug is fixed.
