Description

See included message for exact bounce I get. From
"rschweikert@suse.com". Two so far.

This is a bounce to mail sent to the opensuse mail list, but the bounce
does not include details to identify which one.

Thanks.

Per, can you please have a look at this when you are back from vacation?

Can't someone just talk over the phone to rschweikert@suse.com and tell him?

He has a problem on SUSE "GroupWise" platform
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GroupWise)

Alternatively, tell the "GroupWise" admin.

Even if I had his number, it wouldn't be of any use. :-) Robert does not cause the problem, it is the mailserver.

Alternatively, tell the "GroupWise" admin.

We could assign the ticket of MF-IT, but I expect it is a temporary problem, someone was reconfiguring a mailserver, somewhere.
Unless more such bounces appear, I suggest we close this ticket.

I'm not the only one affected, but everyone on the mail list who post
something, for every post. I have 12 bounces myself.

There is very little traffic on the list now, so there is not much talk
about it.

I just sent a ping test.

[...]

Yes, problem is active. Ping sent at 14:26, bounced at 14:47 (local time).

I'd guess that Robert has somehow broken his mail forwarding, and caused a loop.

I tried a mail to his @suse.de address, but unfortunately it gets forwarded to the @suse.com address and results in the same bounce.

The best way to contact Robert might be IRC - he isn't online at the moment, but was yesterday, and hopefully will be online again on monday. So - whoever sees him online (nickname robjo), please point him to this ticket and ask him to fix his mail setup.

I agree. It's annoying to all members of the list.

Since there seems to be some delay in solving the underlying cause can somebody please unsubscribe Robert temporarily until the real problem is fixed? At least it will no longer affect innocent users of the mailing list in the meantime.

I guess someone already unsubscribed Robert from whatever lists he was subscribed to? I only see one subscription now - with a novell.com address.

I guess he is subscribed with another address - since 1 July, I only see three mails sent to "rschweikert". Yes, it looks like he is "rjschwei". I'll unsubscribe him.

Robert, when you're back and you read this, I can resubscribe you. Just let me know.

Hi,

My mail was migrated to O365 last week Wednesday, which aptly broke mail delivery. I can only apologize for ineptness of the MF IT people. Thanks @cboltz for reaching out and making me aware of this ticket.

Mail delivery, at least to rjschwei@suse.com has been restored. rschweikert@suse.com still appears to be out of commission.

Is there a reasonably easy way fro me to find any openSUSE ML where I may still be subscribed to with rschweikert@suse.com?

From which lists was I already removed as a result of this issue?

Thanks
