Description
During weekend hours, clicking forum links, while logged in, routinely results in extended waits while browser status bar shows "waiting for [www,login].microfocus.com", 10s of seconds, at some times more than a minute, before the desired destination begins loading.

sounds like https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=956174 . That issue is unfortunately not public but I added you in CC so you are able to see it. It does not have much detail though, no reaction by anyone that could help.

I can reproduce, but only partially.
A fresh access of https://forusm.opensuse.org takes 5-6 seconds. (first wallclock, then measured with tcpdump). A renewed login took 10 seconds. It did not ask for password, just automagically logged me in. Trying bugzilla.o.o instead, I got one instance of "not redirecting properly", after hitting retry, it took me to the login page - then another "not redirecting properly", after retry I was logged in. Latency - I never use the forums, but I tried picking a forum, then a thread, it didn't seem overly slow.
