at first clone the job https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/868952 by using HDD_1=opensuse-15.1-x86_64-424.2-gnome@64bit.qcow2 (because we don't have GM build atm):

update_Leap_15.1_gnome added now on: https://openqa.opensuse.org/admin/test_suites

of course this is required for a new needle which covers both 15.0, 15.1 : http://f40.suse.de/tests/1530#step/setup_zdup/1

testsuite assigned to job group and start test by isos post on 3o:

https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/874620

to check results later.

Actions #8

Updated by zluo about 5 years ago

start another test because the previos test failed: inst_menu not matched.

without ISO defined correctly :(

Not it seems to work:
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/874204

Actions #9

Updated by zluo about 5 years ago

test failed because the needle 'remove-repository' is different. Create a proper needle for restarting job.

the result on 3o looks good.
Need to check for next build:

test should start without any issue: use ISO and HDD definde in testsuite

next time please make sure to add a new test scenario in the "test development" job group first

Actions #13

this is working now in "Dev TW" however it failed because of needle select_upgrade.

check the next test:

  • Target version deleted (Milestone 24)

The created test references a non-GM HDD image which is also not in the fixed/ subdirectory.
Please fix this, to prevent failures after the .qcow2 file got garbage collected.

This scenario is not affected by the cleanup of the qcow2 because there are often tumbleweed snapshots triggered that will keep the qcow2.
But, the image should be a GM image from fixed directory.

you were just lucky because the Tumbleweed job group hasn't exceeded quota enough and there had been no too long periods without any TW tests but this could happen any time.
