Observation¶
openQA test in scenario sle-15-Installer-DVD-ppc64le-lvm@ppc64le fails in
consoletest_setup
Before the prompt is available, password is typed. We might need to check with a needle that password prompt is ready in the same way that we do we login prompt.
Reproducible¶
Fails since (at least) Build 489.7 (current job)
Expected result¶
Last good: 489.2 (or more recent)

We had similar issue with typing username when switching to user console. Let's consider making this code more stable using needles or verifying serial output, for example.

- Status changed from New to Rejected
- Is duplicate of action #33097: [functional][medium] tty login needles are matched prematurely, username typing gets lost (was: needle for "password-prompt" is incorrect, shows login-prompt instead) added
- Status changed from Rejected to Resolved
- Assignee set to okurz
could be since then I removed the according needles which caused this wrong behaviour. #33097 should cover this.
