Description
Tests on ppc64le (backend qemu) and on s390x over zkvm (backend svirt) which use VIRTIO_CONSOLE=1 don't have kernel logs.
Example of test facing it:
Maintenance: SLE 12 SP3 Kernel Incidents

Kernel tests test

I think Petr is referring to the fact that on ppc64 serial0.txt does not include any messages from the kernel or the PPC64 firmware. This is not caused by the virtio console however, it is also a problem for the VNC console. It should be fixable by reconfiguring the serial port in QEMU as there is a QEMU self test which reads the firmware serial output (migration-test.c). Although I am not sure what we are doing differently.

IMHO this was fixed in the meantime for both Arch's but I am not completely sure. Probably changes to the serial ports connected to the systems as well as according kernel console selections
