What do you mean by an asset here?
- vars.json
- serial0.txt
- autoinst-log.txt
These are always uploaded... However, there's the qcow image that is being uploaded, but a module is marked as important (and not fatal as the rest), which could explain why the test did finish but there is clearly a bug on the qcow being uploaded but not shown.
However in this case, I'd say that the asset should not be used as input for other tests.

Latest job:

Both qcows uploaded and shown as expected, but test did not fail.
In https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/552281#downloads only one image is uploaded as I would expect it since it failed before finishing.

I checked the job URLs and by now they are all gone and as the ticket description does not have more details it is hard to say what really happened. I have two possible explanations: Either there was misconfiguration as in #20788 or the asset was successfully uploaded but subsequently cleaned up by the asset management so that it would not show anymore in the "Logs & Assets" tab.
