action #18634
closed[sles][functional]textmode install_and_reboot fails to stop the reboot countdown
0%
Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario sle-12-SP3-Server-DVD-x86_64-textmode@64bit fails in
install_and_reboot
The SUT is rebooted to early.
Reproducible¶
Fails only since this Build 0336 (current job), not observed anywhere else. Other architectures are fine, similar scenario on same arch fine -> sporadic issue of key getting lost, maybe qemu. It can also happen on ppc64le (see comment below)
Expected result¶
Last good: 0334 (or more recent)
Problem¶
- H1 Key is getting lost in qemu
- H2 Key is getting lost in SUT
- H3 SUT receives key but ignores -> no logs, no joy
Suggestions¶
- Use more "save_screenshot"/assert_screen before/after the stopping countdown
Further details¶
Always latest result in this scenario: latest
Workaround¶
Restart jobs if this happens.

Behaviour should have changed a lot since we have https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/pull/2929
https://openqa.suse.de/tests/956710 and the last 10 passed so good enough, we are done here :-)
