Description
The PowerPC workers used by openqa.o.o (1) have been updated to Leap 42.2 (as per irc by coolo)
but this release has a missing correction of boo#977027
I just created an osc mr 457357 that was rejected as maintainer waiting for correction from SLES12-SP2
Could we have in the meantime the PowerPC workers manually patched with updated
/usr/share/qemu/slof.bin
to avoid PowerPC tests to fail.

I just saw a comment added in https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=977027#c15
that confirm the correction has been submitted to SLES12-SP2
So I assume next step is to have Leap42.2 updated with same updates.

Its added to -> openSUSE:Maintenance:
so it will be applied to leap42.2 also, after a short period of time.

Do we have a target date for application to leap 42.2 ?
and installation on Power8 workers ?

We pinged the Security update manager, and escalated it that way. We'll see what comes around.

As today the Power8 workers are not updated yet as per last build log https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/372624/file/serial0.txt
the used SLOF: Build Date = Dec 15 2016 17:54:10
By comparison the one from qemu-ppc-2.6.2-29.3.ppc64le.rpm (from 42.2 update) is
Build Date = Mar 14 2017 14:25:25
