Description

Hi,

I'm running into a strange issue when trying to log in at
https://en.opensuse.org/Main_Page

I get a blank page with the title "Internal Error" and in the body:

[8e343c0ffc60af22e180df64] 2023-05-22 12:40:46: Fatal exception of type
"MWException"

My user account is anag, I can log in without problems in others site
such as https://build.opensuse.org/

Something that could have triggered this issue is the fact that I have
recently changed the email address associated to this account and added
the employee flag.

Let me know if you have more questions and thank you for your help!

Best regards,

Ana

The changed mail address might indeed be the problem (known issue, unfortunately I don't have a real fix yet, only a workaround).

I updated your mail address in the wiki database to ana.guerrero@suse.com which should fix the issue. Please try to login again, and report back.

Hello,

Thank you, the wiki now works fine 🙂
However, when I tried to log in in https://progress.opensuse.orhttps://progress.opensuse.org/my/accountg to answer this issue I didn't have rights to see it. Checking further, this could be because
it's still using my old email address (for what I see at https://progress.opensuse.org/my/account )
When I try to change it to ana.guerrero@suse.com, it tells me that is already taken. Could you please help with this as well?

Thank you,
Ana

Hi there,

I suppose you couldn't see the ticket because they get marked as private by default. Try again, now and let's see.

Thank you for your help! Yes, I can see the ticket now because it's public.
However, my original problem is still there. https://progress.opensuse.org/ has my old email address ( aguerrero@suse.com ) associated with my account "anag" so it appears as a ticket filed by somebody else 🙂
Could you please update the email associated with anag to ana.guerrero@suse.com like you did for the wiki please?

@cboltz (or @ whoever takes this up): The new email address shows in the IDP account, I think it needs to be corrected in Redmine.

Yes, anag in IDP has the email ana.guerrero@suse.com but... It might be more tricky than that, I have just realized I have 2 accounts. The one I knew about (anag - https://progress.opensuse.org/users/32804 ) and one that was created when I sent the mail: user: ana.guerrero@suse.com - https://progress.opensuse.org/users/43024
That's why I cannot change the mail here myself.

Good diagnosis, you were faster than me to type it ;-)

I'll change the mail address for the ana.guerrero@suse.com account to ana.guerrero+poo129682@suse.com - and afterwards update the mail address of the anag account.

Note that this change might break mail notifications for this ticket for you (unless the suse.com mailserver accepts the + address), therefore please have a look at this ticket if you don't receive another notification mail in the next 30 minutes.

Thank you @cboltz it seems fine now!
I confirm suse.com accepts addresses with +
