Observation¶

openQA test in scenario sle-15-SP5-Online-x86_64-sev-es-gi-guest_developing-on-host_developing-kvm@64bit-ipmi-amd-zen3 fails in
boot_from_pxe

Test suite description¶

Test failed to boot form pxe and match pxe menu needle

Reproducible¶

This happens to all machine in NUE-FC-B 2:
grenache-1:12/kermit failed to boot from pxe
grenache-1:13/gonzo failed to boot from pxe
grenache-1:15/scooter failed to boot from pxe
grenache-1:19/amd-zen3-gpu-sut1-1 failed to boot from pxe
All these failures are due to the same reason "ARP Timeout"

@okurz @nicksinger Could this issue been introduced by recent IT team's new DNS change for suse.de? And the pxe/dhcp/dns server for machines in NUE-FC-B 2 need proper adapting the settings?

@waynechen55 since today is public holiday to many locations, and the issue very likely need IT colleagues help to check again dns/dhcp server, do you mind help to open a jira-sd ticket and report IT this issue ahead? When QE-Tools team come back, they can take over to follow the issue with IT team, and it might still need QE-Tools help to check(or reboot) pxe/tftp service.
