Description

Motivation

This came up during the retrospective. Considerable time is being spent investigating stability of existing tests with sometimes hard to reproduce issues that only occur infrequently or in CircleCI only (or both). This takes time away from working on new features, or bug fixes.

Suggestion

  • Remove tests which aren't stable
  • Change CI setup to something more reliable

Most of this is simply technical debt that has been accumulating for many years.

I put a lot of priority on unstable tests recently after much more problems showed up. And I appreciate that these tasks have been picked up soon accordingly. Right now I see only very few left. So I also agree with what kraih said.

So if others agree I think we don't need to do any further specific steps right now.
