Description

I'd like a new opensuse-admin mailing list, for human-only mails / discussions. Its main use-case will be communication between opensuse admins (in cases where no ticket is required, eg "jfyi I touched this small thing"), or for communication from an admin member to somebody else, with opensuse-admin on CC. Then we will have:

  • admin: automated mails from the progress.o.o ticketing system
  • auto-admin: all other automated mails (cronjobs, scripts, gitlab etc)
  • opensuse-admin: all non automated mails

members should be people with full root and puppet access: me gschlotter lrupp darix mcaj bugfinder

I also have interest to be subscribed on such a list, anyhow I only have root access on some opensuse systems.

To clear up the situation: the same topic as this bug describes was discussed during the oSC16 (without me being present on that meeting). Thus, the people there decided to create the heroes@ mailing list, and it was created just one day before henne created the opensuse-infrastructure list. So we'll keep the heroes@ list as the majority agreed on that name, and it was announced publicly already. Thanks henne for handling this bug though and apologies for not informing you earlier about it and resulting in duplicate work
