meet.opensuse.org - optimizations
100%
Description
Hi,
would it be possible to fix meet.opensuse.org not to start in highest video quality? Rather middle or low or add a resolution picker?
Also the video quality is not stored across sessions, you have to set always to low again when joining new or same sessions.

So this ticket is now dragged from the old to the new instance. The new does not require a login (for now).
Jitsi is calculating the current resolution on the available bandwith, thus the problem you are raising is not something which would apply. Upstream support for such a feature is not in sight but if you desire we can raise an issue upstream. For contributions from our side we are way to little developers for now.

I would need to set it to low due to performance not due to bandwith - I see no benefit on higher resolution using 100% cpu usage - if I select lower resolution which is still ok. A solution to store selection would be good

Hi there - and a Happy and Healthy 2022!
I'm currently closing old tickets which did not see much change.
If the main concern still exists and should be handled, please re-open by just replying to this Email.
Thanks in advance,
Lars
