Description
Hello everyone,
this is a friendly request to grant me access to Hero network. I've been
asked to enhance the information available at https://metrics.opensuse.org .
Could you also please point me to where the services run. I'll need
access to:
- Grafana (metrics.opensuse.org)
- InfluxDB (Grafana's datasource is pointing to it)
- Apache access logs of download.opensuse.org
Thanks a lot for your help
Cheers
Witek

TBH, I don't know Witek either, but he was referred here by Marco Varlese, whom I extracted some download stats for.

Witek is part of SLE Engineering. One of his new duties is going to help out with some stats and Grafana work for the openSUSE grafana dashboard.
I don't know him personally, but I think that every helping hand counts today. So I would support that we create an heroes account for him and provide the needed information to him. At the moment, metrics.o.o is (friendly saying) not really up-to date with the latest development... ;-)
About logs from pontifex: maybe we can add a read-only NFS export on pontifex for /var/log/apache2/ ? That way we don't need to duplicate the files but allow the scripts on metrics to consume them?

Per and Lars, thanks for introducing Witek!
Witek, you've got mail ;-) Ping me on IRC for the missing part and to give you root permissions on metrics.o.o.

Might be an option. To make things more interesting, /var/log/apache/
isn't readable for everybody.
That said - we have a downloadlogs.infra.opensuse.org
vhost on pontifex (see #36862) so we might be discussing an already solved problem ;-)

- Status changed from Workable to Resolved
Done some days ago - except the paperwork of closing this ticket ;-)
To get permissions on a specific server, you can a) ask one of the existing admins of that server or b) open a ticket here.
