One solution could be to use ctrl-alt-del
ctrl-alt-L
SHORTCUT TO BE DEFINED and use the mouse to click the logout button, as it is done for KDE (and XFCE).

It is already done for GNOME on shutdown: https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/blob/master/lib/power_action_utils.pm#L97
