Description

Observation

openQA test in scenario sle-15-SP1-Installer-DVD-x86_64-autoyast_bug-872532_ix64ph1069@64bit fails in
installation

AutoYast profile disables network configuration early in the Second Stage.
<keep_install_network config:type="boolean">false</keep_install_network>
Before any further network configuration according to the profile, AutoYast tries to configure mentioned services such as NIS / NTP client accordingly.
This may trigger the automatic installation of missing packages as ypbind in the failed openQA job.
As long as networking is not configured at this stage, AY can fetch packages only from installation medium, which does not contain all available rpms.

AutoYast's Second stage will be executed in case of
<second_stage config:type="boolean">true</second_stage>
is present in the AY profile, or the profile requests some additional system configuration which cannot be done in stage 1.

Autoyast profile which verifies bug bsc#872532. Same as autoyast_bug-872532_ix64ph1069 but with adjustments for SLE15. Maintainer: riafarov@suse.com
