There were some proposed ideas that might have some interesting points for further discussion...
Anton and Okurz suggested (as okurz already mentioned during the daily round) that they could be considered as progress tickets, so for the time being, let's close them and see if there's anything valuable there.

#48008 is done. I checked the rest and it's ok. I stil have some wip-changes in my local git working copy. Based on this I might come up with something more workable or just scrap it :) Thanks for the ticket as reminder.
