closed[sle][functional][u][fast] test fails in bootloader - openQA can't confirm kernel options

Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario sle-12-SP4-Server-DVD-ppc64le-create_hdd_minimal_base+sdk@ppc64le fails in
bootloader because openQA fails to confirm its entered details in grub.
Therefore the installer does not boot and the next assert_screen fails. However, It worked flawlessly in the previous runs and I can't really spot any difference. So maybe it's an actual product bug and needs to be reported after further investigation on what went wrong in this build…
EDIT: Always happens on QA-Power8-4-kvm, maybe worker related?
Reproducible¶
Fails since Build 0391 in many scenarios.
ACs¶
Investigate why, starting with build 0391, openQA cannot longer confirm it's bootloader options
1.1 Create bugzilla ticket if regression in productIf no product bug:
2.1 Fix the confirmation in the bootloader OR
2.2 Create follow-up ticket if not a trivial fix

I just stumbled over https://openqa.suse.de/tests/2058913#step/welcome/9 which is showing the same symptoms on x86_64. I start to suspect it's actually "just" poo#40670. However I'll keep this one open because we could do some workaround. E.g.: press ctrl+x until the screen changes

I cannot reproduce this issue on my local machine for 20 times test runs. And this is not always reproducible on osd. Sometimes it just worked. I assume that is more related to ppc64le worker performance.
This is not a product issue for sure.
