Observation¶

openQA test in scenario sle-15-Installer-DVD-x86_64-lvm+resize_root@64bit fails in
partitioning_resize_root

Looks like the flow has changed and the test needs to be adapted

Reproducible¶

Fails since (at least) Build 288.8

Expected result¶

Last good: SLE 12 SP4

Suggestions¶

storage-ng looks different: A full screen wizard to resize LVs instead of popup. Adjust needles and test flow with crosscheck

Problem still persists in sle-15-Installer-DVD-x86_64-Build482.3-lvm+resize_root@64bit. As suggested, a new needle should be created for SLE 15 resize window in partitioning manager.

I have observed 2 cosmetic changes within the partitioning workflow in SLE15 installation process.

Resize manager screen changed it's properties:

fullscreen instead of popup
"next" instead of "ok" button

Suggested Partitioning screen:

change in subvolume actions, which are grouped and hidden under (see details) section

Partitioner workflow:
SLE15
Suggested Partitioning -> Expert Partitioner -> Volume Management in Expert Partitioner -> Resize -> Resize Manager as another fullscreen window & next -> Expert Partitioner & Accept -> Suggested Partitioning & next

SLE12SP4
Suggested Partitioning -> Expert Partitioner -> Volume Management in Expert Partitioner -> Resize -> Resize Manager Pop-up & ok -> Expert Partitioner & Accept -> Suggested Partitioning & next
