Observation

openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-ppc64le-RAID0@ppc64le fails in
partitioning_raid

Accteptance criteria

  • AC1: There are no workaround needles without property workaround.
  • AC2: The module partitioning_raid passes or fails/soft-fails on a proper product bug.

Tasks

  1. Add the property workaround to needles https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/594848#step/partitioning_raid/193 if it is a proper workaround.
  2. If https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/594848#step/partitioning_raid/193 is not a proper workaround, remove the needle.
  3. If there is a bug, use record_soft_failure

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 20180117

Expected result

Last good: 20180116 (or more recent)

I added a bypass needle "partitioning_raid-devices_first_partition-boo1077738"
that allow to continue test up to md2 setup, but ultimately failed with internal error as per
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/594848#step/partitioning_raid/215
tracked by new bug https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1077929

feedback from me from sprint review meeting:

  • tag name words should be hyphen separated or underscore separated
  • needle areas are duplicate because they show the same content just on different locations
  • good idea to move some to partitioning_finish as check in the end -> less failures in partitioning_raid
