Observation

Workaround for bsc#1063844 causes needle to fail.

openQA test in scenario sle-15-Installer-DVD-ppc64le-RAID0@ppc64le fails in
partitioning_raid

Acceptance criteria

  • AC1 The test does not fail because of the workaround.
  • AC2 The test does not fail because of bsc#1063844.

Tasks

  • Understand the bug bsc#1063844 (0.1-.5h)
  • Understand the current implementation of the workaround (0.1-1h)
  • Adapt the test for the workaround (1-4h)

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 288.8

Expected result

In SLE 12-SP3, the menu option was "hard disk", which shows a different content: https://openqa.suse.de/tests/1058017#step/partitioning_raid/21

test passed, good job! Should this also fix RAID1, 5, 6, 10? I retriggered them on ppc64le, maybe…

Yes, it should, the summary screen needle have to be created for those, as we have extra partition and it won't match existing needles. But I'll take care of it.
