Description
observation¶
There is a new SLES build 0299 scheduled for 10h but no worker was working on any. 500 jobs scheduled but not running.
Taking a look into journalctl -u openqa-worker@1
on openqaworker7 I see
…
Mar 28 17:46:17 openqaworker7 worker[23722]: flock() on closed filehandle $fh at /usr/share/openqa/script/../lib/OpenQA/Worker/Cache.pm line 177.
Mar 28 17:46:17 openqaworker7 worker[23722]: Mojo::Reactor::Poll: Timer failed: cannot truncate /var/lib/openqa/cache/var/lib/openqa/cache/cache.db: Bad file
and nothing more
problem¶
H1. something about accessing the cache database
further details¶
[29 Mar 2017 08:12:22] restarted @1 on openqaworker7, churning
[29 Mar 2017 08:16:32] I waited for 30m and nothing went on
[29 Mar 2017 08:18:17] I see one really running, the rest is "pre-processing" for 9h

I assume #17574#note-28 mentions one improvement for the issue at hand and nsinger applied a workaround, however I don't get why the workers are mentioned as "online" when they are … not really
@szarate, @nsinger: care to take the ticket?
