openmirrorcache-au problems
0%
Description
I've been using openSUSE tumbleweed for a number of years.
For the last few months I've been unable to do a zypper dup.
The problem appears to be that
https://mirrorcache-au.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Tumbleweed/standard/noarch
redirects to
https://mirror.firstyear.id.au/repositories/openSUSE:/Tumbleweed/standard/noarch
which is empty.
I did once successfully dup by using the u option to change the base URL
to new zealand server, but I don't remember the URL.
Could you please check the mirror configuration for mirror.firstyear.id.au.
I'm happy to dig further if the problem isn't obvious from your end.
Regards
Gordon

You can look up all the mirrors here https://mirrors.opensuse.org/ - find the New Zealand mirror and amend your URL. Remarkably, mirror.firstyear.id.au
is not listed on that page.

Hi there Gordon,
I advise you to do some repo hygiene. /repositories/openSUSE:/Tumbleweed/standard is a needless duplicate of the main OSS Tumbleweed repo (/tumbleweed/repo/oss/) and which is known to cause weird behaviors while using Zypper.
Regards,
Luciano
