Description
Currently mails to webmaster@o.o get forwarded to admin-auto, and then hide between all the automated mails, or even hang in the moderation queue for quite some time (for example, a mail from Jan 12th was only released today).
Would it make sense to forward mails sent to webmaster@ to admin@ so that they end up in progress?
The same question also applies to postmaster@, abuse@, hostmaster@ and noc@
Note:
- all these aliases are defined in salt salt/profile/mailserver/files/virtual-opensuse-aliases and should be changed there (if we agree about this change)
- we'll need to test if progress accepts mails to webmaster@ etc. since they don't have admin@ in their

I am almost certainly the one who released whatever it was, because it was sent to admin-auto without a To: - something like that.
I am not sure if we need more stuff to fill up progress.o.o :-), we seem to be having enough trouble as it is.
I have been playing with the idea of setting up a dovecot for admin-auto, with shared folders for everyone. That is pretty much what I have on my own system, so it would make sense if we could share it, I think. It wouldn't change any of the processing though.

The idea is that messages sent to webmaster@ don't get lost between all the automated mails, and get a chance for timely action. Finding them in the moderation queue after a month is not really helpful ;-) (no blame intended, just describing the problem)
Of course I'm open for other ideas - redirecting these mails to admin@ is just the most easy solution I could come up with ;-)
BTW: Just wondering - does webmaster@ etc. get lots of spam, or is it mostly clean?

Agree 100%, we are on the same page. The main reason they get to wait is because the mailman interface is so slooooooooow. It takes about 1 minute to accept a mail, reviewing the approval queue is very time consuming (read: frustrating).
Of course I'm open for other ideas - redirecting these mails to admin@ is just the most easy solution I could come up with ;-)

Dunno, I don't read it 😀 There is about 90 mails pending approval, maybe I'll let them all through, then we'll see.
They all get caught by mailman due to "Implicit destination", but yes it is mostly spam, plus few people who write about http://download.opensuse.org, missing packages and other miscellaneous issues.

Actually only about 25. There is about 100 queued up for approval right now, so I'll be done in a couple of hours.

I have just re-sent a mail to webmaster to create a ticket, see #124712.
Overall, I don't see any real issue with sending webmaster to admin@o.o - there is some spam, but it doesn't look like a lot.
However, I think the real issue we have is the lack of subscribers to "admin-auto". It's just you, me and Darix.

Sounds like you should add admin@ to Message Acceptance / Acceptable aliases in the mailman config ;-)

I know we have a "noc" address too, but I don't know if it's ever used for anything.

Completely agree. The redmine mailhandler script /opt/redmine/extra/mail_handler/rdm-mailhandler.rb does not have that option, but I did look at assigning a category.
It is possible to automagically assign a category, based on the destination address. (just create another postfix handler, and direct those mails to that). I think I postponed it, to first see how many mails we actually get this way.
