Description

Hi
About 10 years ago i'm using OBS and wrote MonoOSC, i forgot i used
surfzoid2002@yahoo.fr because all my mails with opensuse was with
surfzoid@gmail.com so when yahoo say me my account will be loose for
inactivity, i say ok.

From now i would like to come back and my password isn't recognized,
recovery sends may to a non-existent mail.

Could you please change my mail in the database, if needed i could provide
you old password of api.opensuse.org or mail with Raymond Wooninck

It is very strange all opensuse mail in my inbox are to surfzoid@gmail.com

Perhaps i changed it but don't do migration.

Thank you

I am sorry, but I have no idea what you are talking about. The screenshot seems to indicate an issue with your Yahoo password?

Hi,
In the past yahoo had 2 domain .fr and .com, because yahoo was french,
after after yahoo was buy by another company, an american one i guess, they
decide to remove fr domain, i remember i received a mail notification
from them, who say my email account will be definitely deleted, at this
time i completely forget i used it for OBS also my opensuse account to
mailing list is on surfzoid@gmail.com
An radical proof is to send an mail to surfzoid2002@yahoo.fr you will get
an yahoo answer who say adresse not exist.
Adrian look inside the database, my OBS account is linked to
surfzoid2002@yahoo.fr

I definitely understand your issue. However, I am unsure how sending an email to "surfzoid2002@yahoo.fr" and receiving a response that the address does not exist, verifies your identity.
Ideally, you should log in to https://idp-portal.suse.com/ with your existing credentials (as long as you have the valid passphrase, the non-existing email address does not matter), and then add and verify your new email address there.

That way it is proven you are the correct person, and, as far as I know, OBS will allow you to log in with the changed address without any database changes.

yes you are right, but my registered passwords are rejected, if I remember
right, this was started just after OBS migration.

I can answer your proof question, also, my starting point with OBS was
MonoOSC, i'm the author and got sources at sf.net.

Googling surfzoid / surfzoid@gmail.com will return plenty of proof, i build
RPM for Mageia/MLO with surfzoid@gmail.com

Hooo wait, MonoOSC should have surfzoid@gmail.com in the copyright.

as you can see
https://sourceforge.net/p/monoosc/code/HEAD/tree/MonoOSC/MonoOSC/Class/Program.cs

I'm pretty sure surfzoid2002 was first used and changed for
surfzoid@gmail.com, I suspect a 2020 migration bug, but my last use of OBS
was around 2013, very old, I can't remember if I reset password in 2020.

Hi Bill,
you just subscribe to the list with/from that address.

I see that you have yet to subscribe to that list, but from our side I think we're done.
