Description

Problem

The host malbec.arch.suse.de is not reachable via IPMI, e.g.

ipmitool -I lanplus -C 3 -H fsp1-malbec.arch.suse.de -P … power status
Error: Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ session

Acceptance criteria

  • AC1: malbec.arch.suse.de is again up and running and up-to-date

Suggestions

  • As we already upgraded other OSD machines to Leap 15.4 malbec.arch.suse.de also needs to be upgraded, see #111866
  • Check everything is nice and dandy
  • Add machine back to salt
  • Make sure alerts are unpaused

According to hreinecke SRV2E PowerPC machines can be used again.

@Matthias Griessmeier as you would like to coordinate reg. SRV2E with hreinecke, could you take #114448 ? The machine's power connection is physically disconnected and I couldn't easily identify the right power cord

aneisner was so nice to power on the machine today in the morning,
IPMI is working too:

Chassis Power is on

about the "up-to-date part in the AC, it's up to you to decide :)

Thank you! I added back the salt key with sudo salt-key -y -a malbec.arch.suse.de and applied the current high state with sudo salt 'malbec*' state.apply. Tests have been successfully executed already, e.g.: https://openqa.suse.de/tests/9638639
