Description

mnowak made me aware on how nontransparent the requirements for new machines in the Labs are. In the process of deploying his machine I noticed the following points should be documented to help people who want to bring their "own hardware" in our lab (feel free to suggest points in the comments):

  • Which type of machine makes sense in the labs (e.g.: no productive hardware)
  • What to do to get a *.qa.suse.de domain
  • Required info for the admin (MAC, Hostname, …?)
  • …
