Description
Motivation¶
We learned in
https://infra.nue.suse.com/SelfService/Display.html?id=178140 that vdc is already cheap+slow so we have vde now but that does not seem to make sense to me anymore. We worked based on wrong assumptions it seems :)
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: It is obvious from system descriptions, mount point names, documentation and/or salt states which storage is "cheap+slow" and which is "expensive+fast"
Suggestions¶
- Extend existing storage with help from SUSE IT (waiting for https://infra.nue.suse.com/SelfService/Display.html?id=178140 , then resizing existing filesystem)
- Optional: Get rid of vde again and merge with vdc* Change existing mount points to include "fast" or "slow" as well
- Look for other places where we can describe the current status and specifications, e.g. salt states, progress (or confluence)
