Description
Hi there,
I would like keep track of team marketing's tasks. Could I get a project on
progress-o-o?
And maybe we could even have automated tickets from sending emails to
marketing-tasks@o.o or something like that?
Thanks,
vinz.
Files
- Category set to Redmine
- Status changed from New to Feedback
- Private changed from Yes to No
We are currently in the progress of upgrading Redmine, so while setting up a new project is not really rocket science, please understand that I like to ask back some questions:
- who will be the user group of this project (the amount of potential new users for Redmine)?
- how much storage/database space to you think is needed (only tickets or additional files/documents)?
- which modules are needed?
- Issue tracking
- Time tracking
- News
- Documents
- Files
- Wiki
- Calendar
- Gantt
- regarding Email: this might need some additional time, as it currently needs coordination between SUSE-IT and openSUSE Heroes to get the Email routing setup in the right way. But you can start your project without this, if this is ok for you.
- Who will be the admin/responsible contact person for this project (we need contact data in case of problems)?
Regards,
Lars
- who will be the user group of this project (the amount of potential new
users for Redmine)?
User group is people coordinating marketing efforts, so no more than 10
persons even in the long run I guess.
- how much storage/database space to you think is needed (only tickets or
additional files/documents)?
Just tickets. Even if files occur with our work they will be placed somewhere
else, most likely GH.
- which modules are needed?
Yes.
Yes.
No.
Had a look at https://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/FAQ#What-is-the-difference-between-Documents-and-Files to understand the difference.
So: Documents yes, Files no.
Yes.
Yes.
No.
- regarding Email: this might need some additional time, as it currently
needs coordination between SUSE-IT and openSUSE Heroes to get the Email
routing setup in the right way. But you can start your project without
this, if this is ok for you.
Yes, totally. The whole thing is optional and we for sure can tackle that
later.
- Who will be the admin/responsible contact
person for this project (we need contact data in case of problems)?
Me and Doug DeMaio (ddemaio@suse.de).
- Status changed from Feedback to Closed
- Assignee set to lrupp
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
https://progress.opensuse.org/projects/opensuse-marketing/ created.
- users: vinzv and ddemaio added as managers (you should be able to edit the configuration of the project)
- created a new Redmine group: opensuse-marketing with "Developer" access (means: write permissions inside the project). Currently no members in this group.
Please open a ticket here (or ping in IRC) if you want to get someone added to the project. Please let her/him log-in here first, before opening the ticket. Otherwise the system will not know her/him.
Solved => enjoy!
