Description

Prometheus seems to have notification system already builtin something that graphite does not. While the Grafana alerts work and do the job, Looking into prometheus is not that crazy, also collectd comes with plugins for it.

Let's see how this will evolve in the future given the recent discussions about monitoring on several department levels.
For now we settled with the influxdb+telegraf+grafana stack and I want to follow it for now (at least until we hit severe limitations).
