closed[sle][functional][y] Verify bsc#1096401 using openQA
0%
Description
Motivation¶
We have identified sporadic bug where snapper was creating coredumps, which we collect only when test module fails, but it was causing failures in different modules.
In order to verify the fix, we should trigger at least 100 jobs and validate that there were no snapper core dumps.
See bsc#1096401.
Acceptance criteria¶
- Once https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/625213 (snapper version version 0.5.6+) is accepted and reaches TW build, 100+ runs are performed and analyzed to prove bug fix

- Due date set to 2018-08-14
- Target version set to Milestone 18
Seems I did not make myself well understood in the milestone review on Monday, the daily yesterday, the daily today, the milestone planning meeting today as well as the backlog refinement meeting today where I each time mentioned #38702. Please take a look there first but we can track both in the next sprint I assume. btw, no one from y-team was there in the refinement today so I guess we need to find the time to prepare the next sprint for you guys.
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/overview?distri=opensuse&version=Staging%3AD&build=1300.2&groupid=2 might include the changes already in staging tests so I assume we could play around with the staging jobs as clone sources as well for the statistical analysis already.

- Status changed from Blocked to Workable
blocker resolved. The patch has reached Tumbleweed and according to dimstar the logs do not mention any snapper coredump anymore. Feel free to continue here in whatever way you see feasible and useful or just trust that dimstar already verified – the bugs should be set to VERIFIED though I think
