We have 4.4.121-92.78-default and 4.4.121-92.73-default installed while 4.4.121-92.78-default is running.
The logic installs the first kernel debuginfo that matches 4.4.121, which is 92.73 - and then we fail to
generate the trace.
I hope using the last works in more cases.
