To avoid situations where changes to the testapi or locking api don't bump the interface version, a check should be added.

As a very rudimentary idea could be looking for changes in those two modules (looking for the subs, check if there is one more in comparison to the previous version? and then simply fail the test if there's no change to the interface version either.
