I find it weired that one plugin decides what the other plugin should check and what not. It's much easier if the plugin at hand decides that.

But on the bright side: they all live in the same git repo, so possibly we can refactor the complete "no need for staging" logic and then use the osclib library also from the check_source plugin.

But don't move logic that belongs in the staging plugin into the check_source plugin
